summary page

summary - bank balances and budgeting tools

budgeting and month to date progress for income, bills, daily spending and savings goals.

also acummulated cash balances and associated charts.

data tables

the data sheets are simple, and small, but powerfull. 4, 12 month tables. all identical, except color. income, expenses, bills, daily spending and savings goals. keeps it simple.

all tables are organized as follows: description, paid 'x', amount, day, paid or recieved, average and total. then 12 monthly columns.

forecasting

the data in the 3 sheets below, are identival. pulled from the data entry sheets discussed below, but displayed in different ways. you could refer to it as small, medium and large, or from simple to more and more complex. it does a very good job of compiling all the data and displaying it to indicate 1 basic premise, "do I spend less than I make?".

this is about planning. most banks have pretty good after the fact reporting. but then it's to late. this is about planning ahead.

these charts use 2 data series. monthly (income or expense) andhttps://gotsomemoney.com/ a 'rolling 12 month forecast'.

pivots

...

slices

slice o' the pie, ya' know ... income, bills, daily and savings goals

settings

Settings - workbook title, 'working date', settings (in development), checkboxes for paid and recieved, and  contingency.

colors

colors: income: save, positive cash flow, expenses: total expenses with sub-categories of bills, daily spending, and savings goals.

also, all data entry columns are blue and yellow. all other columns are protected formulas.

checkboxes

checkboxes - payment tracking to improve accuracy. income, bills and savings goals use 'x' to track cash flow. daily does not use tracking.

copy data

old school basic stuff. but there could be various reasons to copy.

source sheet, click select all (top left corner), copy

goto destination sheet, click select all then paste

copy file

be sure to periodically make copies of your sheets file for backup purposes or duplicating and renaming

thanks ...

i hope you have a good experience with this. the nice part is, it's free, no payments!. and, there's millions of people around the world that  can work on it, or modify it for your personal needs.

there's no coding to troubleshoot, just straight formulas. all spreadsheet. should be highly stable!! 🥸

then use the summary totals to compare to your bank reports ... good luck!!
